The summer is over too soon, we are off to start the new academic year.
I just finished reading " The Child Called it" by dave Pelitzer. It is a memoir of his childhood. This is the best thing that happend to me in this summer. As fictitious as it may seem, it is a fact that child abuse exist. In the book, Dave describes how he was abused my his alcohoilc mother who often starved him, beat him up and he ended up stealing food from whereever he can to eat. This brings him lot of troubles in scool. He was later removed from his house and was put to foster care. May be what Mr. Pelitzer described was an exagerated case but I made a promise to myself as I read the book that I will put the child first in my classroom than math.
